Software Installation Recommendations
You should be aware that problems may arise from installing software, including loss of data and complete inaccessibility to your computer. Please understand that you are responsible for any problems resulting from installation of software.
Remember the importance of backing up your data and hard drive prior to installing any software.
If you have any questions, please consult your department ITC or primary technical support person prior to installing software for advice, help and information on how the installation may affect your computing environment.
Before installing software, verify that your system meets or exceeds the system requirements as specified by the software manufacturer. You should access the manufacturer's web site if you need additional information about requirements.
You may be required to install the Sacramento State VPN client prior to downloading software from off-campus or on-campus locations using a wireless or open port.
